Why a site about the Ontario side of implants?

Most implant information explains the implant. Far less explains the system around it: who you see first, why a scan happens somewhere else, what your dental plan will and won't pay, who is allowed to sedate you, and how to check the person doing the work.

Those are the questions people bring to the front desk, and they're the ones this site answers. It covers coverage, referrals, sedation rules and choosing a dentist in Ontario. It's meant to be useful whichever dentist you end up seeing.

Who publishes this site

OntarioDentalImplants.ca is published by Smile Studio Dental, a dental office at 8500 Leslie St, Suite 220, in Markham, where Dr. Muhammad Bilal Paracha practises as a general dentist.

Because the publisher is a dental practice, it has an interest in readers choosing it for care, and we would rather say that plainly. The guides describe how things generally work in Ontario, not how one office does them. They don't recommend a provider, and the questions they suggest are worth asking any dentist, including us.

How the guides are written

• Plain language first. Technical and program terms are explained the first time they appear.
• Sourced. Clinical statements are checked against peer-reviewed research. Rules and coverage are checked against the bodies responsible for them: the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Health Canada and the Ontario Dental Association. Each guide lists its sources.
• Dated where it matters. Program and regulatory details change, so pages that describe them say when they were last checked, and point you to the official page for current details.
• No fee figures. We explain how fees and estimates work rather than publishing prices, because there's no public source for Ontario implant fees.
• Balanced. Risks, limits and alternatives sit next to the benefits.
• No hype. No discounts, time-limited offers, testimonials or promised results.

About the illustrations

The pictures on this site are illustrations created for education with the help of AI image tools, then reviewed before use. They don't show real patients, real staff or the Smile Studio Dental office, and they're not clinical images.
